Frosting Boot Toppers – A Charmingly Cozy Boot Toppers

This free knitting pattern is ideal for Level 4 - Intermediate Level KnittersText area which says "Free Knitting Pattern: Frosting Boot Toppers – A Charmingly Cozy Boot Toppers," followed by a photo of boots with lavender boot toppers

Designed by Kristen Jancuk, these lovely boot toppers complement your stylish outfits nicely.

The pattern comes in 4 different sets of measurements. The sizes range from 14.75 inches to 18.75 inches in circumference from the widest point, and the height is 13.25 inches when uncuffed. In metric measurements, the circumference is approximately 37 cm to 47 cm and the height is about 33 cm.

Using Knit Picks’ Biggo Yarn, a bulky weight yarn that contains 50% Wool and 50% nylon. It’s the perfect yarn for creating cozy accessories like these cozy boot toppers. Best of all, it is machine washable.

Knit the boot toppers using US9 – US11 double-pointed knitting needles. That is 5.5 mm and 8 mm needles if you are using the metric system. These Radiant Double-Pointed knitting needles, with lovely colors and a burnished surface, are great needles for this task and I highly recommend them.

Furthermore, this pattern is perfect for practicing slipping stitches. To slip a stitch means to pass a stitch from one needle to another without working it. If you would like to learn how to do slip stitches, why not check out our fully-illustrated, step-by-step tutorial on the subject here: Slipping Stitches Knitwise or Purlwise.
