This free knitting pattern is ideal for Level 4 - Intermediate Level Knitters

Designed by the creative Hannah Maier, this lovely cowl is just a joy to create and wear. It is available in a single size and once finished measure approximately 28 inches in circumference and 8 inches high. That is 71 cm in circumference and 20 cm high if you prefer using metric measurements.

To make the cowl, you will need Knit Picks’ Fable Fur yarn. It is a delightfully soft and furry super-bulky yarn made of 100% polyester. The yarn is simply perfect for making elegant garments and accessories, like this piece that we’re making.

You will also need a size US 10 straight or circular knitting needle. That is a 10 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, as the piece is worked flat, we recommend that you use the mattress stitch to sew the ends of the cowl together. The mattress stitch is an invisible and versatile seam. It makes your knitting look continuous even your project is knitted flat.

If you are not familiar with the mattress stitch and would like to learn how to do it, we have an illustrated tutorial that you’ll surely like. You can find this tutorial here: Learn How to Do a Mattress Stitch.
