Another stylish creation by the very talented Knit Picks team, this Bath Set is a fun knit that you can gift to your friends and family.

In fact, this project is perfect for intermediately-skilled, knitters to work on.

Moreover, the patterns are only available in a single size. Once finished, the hand towel measures about 12 inches wide and 24 inches long. That’s about 30 cm wide and 61 cm long if you use metric.

The washcloth measures 10 inches square. That’s about 25 cm in metric.

To make this pattern you will need the Shine Sport Yarn. It is a gorgeous and luxuriously soft sport weight yarn made from  60% Pima Cotton, and 40% Modal natural beech wood fibers. It’s the perfect yarn for Garments, Accessories, and home projects.

Furthermore, you will need a US size 5 circular and double-pointed knitting needle. That’s about 3.75 mm if you prefer to use the metric system.

You will be using the k2tog knitting decrease when you make this project. The k2tog or knit two together is a basic right slanting decrease that is quite common throughout knitting patterns.

If you’re not familiar with the k2tog decrease, we have an illustrated, step-by-step tutorial for it that you’ll surely find helpful. You can find this tutorial here: Learn How to Make a Basic Right-Slanting Decrease (K2tog).

In addition, as you come to finish the pattern, you will have to weave in the yarn ends. This method will give your shrug a nice and neat finish.

If you like to learn how to do this, you can check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique. You can find the tutorial here: Learn How to Weave in Yarn Ends.
