Another outstanding creation by Knit Picks designer Kerin Dimeler-Laurence, the Victorian Spring Knit Scarf is a stunning, lacy scarf. In fact, you can wear it all day long to keep you covered from an unexpected chill.

In addition, the pattern is ideal for intermediate knitters to work on.

Moreover, the pattern comes in one size, which measures 6.5 inches by 41 inches. That’s about 16.5 cm by 104 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

The original piece was created using the discontinued crayon yarn. However, you can easily substitute any DK-weight yarn.

If you want to learn more about yarn substitutions, we have an excellent article that covers this topic. Check it here: 8 Tips to Follow When You Want to Substitute Yarn.

Furthermore, you will be needing US size 10  knitting needles. That’s 6 mm if you prefer to use the metric system.

Finally, working the pattern requires you to make the k2tog or knit 2 stitches together. It is a basic decrease technique that slants to the right.

If you like to learn how to make the k2tog, you can check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique that you’ll find helpful. You get it right here: Basic Right-Slanting Decrease (K2tog).
