Moreover, it’s available in three different sizes. They measure about 6, 6.75, and 7.75 inches in circumference and 7, 14,  and 21 inches in length. That’s 15, 17, and 20 cm and 18, 35.5, and 53.5 cm respectively in the metric system.

The original piece was created using the discontinued Wool-Ease yarn. However, you can easily substitute it with any medium-weight/worsted yarn.

Furthermore, you will need a US size 8 knitting needle. That’s 5 mm if you prefer to use the metric system.

To work this pattern, you will need to make the kfb or the Bar Increase. It’s a simple, left-leaning increase method.

If you like to learn how to do this, you can check out a useful, fully illustrated tutorial for this technique. You can find the tutorial here: Learn How to Make a KFB or Bar Increase.

Finally, you will have to weave in the yarn ends. This method will give your project a nice and neat finish. For a complete guide to making this technique, you can check out our tutorial here: Learn How to Weave in Yarn Ends.
