Designed by the talented Bobbie Fitzgerald, the cardigan is knitted in 3 separate pieces, the body, and the two sleeves.

It is available in 5 sizes. The sizes will fit babies ages 0 – 6 months, 6 – 12 months, 12 – 18 months, 2 years, and 3-year-old toddlers.

To make the cardigan, you will need Lion Brand’s Feels Like Butta Yarn. It is a soft and beautiful medium-weight yarn made of 100% polyester. It simply perfect for making cozy baby garments, as well as lovely baby blankets.

You will also need a size US 8 knitting needle. That is a 5 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, we recommend you use the mattress stitch to sew the garment together. The mattress stitch is an invisible seam that makes your knitting look continuous even if it is knitted flat.

If you want to learn how to do the mattress stitch, we have a fully illustrated tutorial for it here: Learn How to Do A Mattress Stitch.
