Brought to you by Lisa Carnahan in Lion Brand’s Yarn design team, this cardigan is truly a must-have. It is an intermediate piece to knit, making it ideal for advancing beginners to work on.

This pattern is available in 6 sizes with a finished bust measuring about 36, 40, 44, 47, 51, and 55 inches. That’s about 91.5, 101.5, 112, 119.5, 129.5, and 139.5 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

The original piece was created using the discontinued Touch of Merino Yarn. However, you can easily substitute any 3-Light Weight Yarn.

In addition, you will need US sizes 5 and 6 circular knitting needles. That’s 3.75 mm and 4 mm if you prefer the metric units.

In working with this pattern, you will have to do ssk or basic left-slanting decrease to reduce the number of working stitches on this pattern. To learn more about this decrease knit technique, you can check here: Basic Left-Slanting Decrease (SSK).

You will also need to make yarnovers, an increase commonly used to create small decorative features in the fabric.
