Brought to you by the creatives at Lion Brand Yarns, this baby hoodie is worked in a single piece up to the armholes and then divided for back and front.

The pattern is available in 4 different sizes. The sizes will fit babies 3-6 months and 12-18 months, as well as 2 and 4 year old children.

To make this hoodie, you will need Lion Brand’s Pound of Love yarn. It is a soft and squishy medium-weight yarn made of 100% premium acrylic. The yarn is simply perfect for making knitted pieces that touch delicate skin. Best of all, it is machine washable!

You will also need a size US 6 knitting needle. That is a 4 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, you will be utilizing the kfb knitting increase technique when making this project. The KFB or knit front and back is one of the simpler ways of increasing your stitch count by 1.

We have an illustrated tutorial on this increase method if you want to learn it. You can find this tutorial here: Learn How to Make a KFB or Bar Increase.
