Designed by the creatives at Hayfield Yarns, this charming sweater will look absolutely adorable on your tiny bundle of joy.

The pattern comes in 6 different sizes that will fit babies age 0-3 months, 3 – 6, 6 – 9, 9 – 12, 12 – 18, and 18 – 24-month-old babies. The star pattern is also fully charted and is created using the simple reverse stocking stitch.

To make this sweater, you will need Hayfield’s Baby Bonus DK Yarn. It is a lovely and super soft DK-weight yarn that is made of 100% acrylic. Perfect for baby projects like this sweater we’re making.

You will also need a size US 3 and US 6 knitting needle. That’s a 3.25 mm and 4 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, you will be utilizing the k2tog and p2tog knitting decrease techniques when working this project.

The K2tog or knitting two stitches together is a basic right slanting decrease that is pretty common throughout knitting patterns.
