Designed by the creative team over at Lion Brand Yarns, this shrug is knitted back and forth using circular knitting needles. In fact, it is a perfect project for intermediate knitters to tackle.

The pattern comes in a single size and measures approximately 38 inches wide and about 44 inches long. That’s about 96.5 cm wide and roughly 112 cm long if you prefer using metric measurements.

To make the shrug, you will need to use Lion Brand’s Fishermen’s Wool yarn. It is a gorgeous and soft medium-weight yarn made of 100% pure virgin wool. The yarn is simply perfect for creating glamorous accessories like this piece that we’re making.

You will also need a size US 9 circular knitting needle. That’s a 5.5 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

As the shrug is knitted back and forth, we recommend that you use the mattress stitch to sew the edges together. You can learn how to do the mattress stitch here: Learn How to Do a Mattress Stitch.

Once you completed the shrug, you will have to weave in the yarn ends properly. We have an illustrated tutorial for that here: Learn How to Weave in Yarn Ends.
