The SK2P Double Decrease is a way to decrease two stitches at the same time. In addition, the decrease will slant to the left on the knit side.
In fact, this decrease method is often used in a decrease pair where it is paired up with K2SP.
As you are decreasing by two stitches at a time, you will get a much steeper angle of decreases when compared to single decreases.
However, you should be aware that when using this technique, you will end up with a visible bump in your project. This is caused by the stitch you are passing over the k2tog.
To follow this tutorial, you will need to know how to slip stitches knitwise. If you are not familiar with this technique, you can find a step-by-step tutorial here:
In addition, you will also need how to make a k2tog. Not familiar with this technique? We have a step-by-step tutorial which you can find here:
Note: This double decrease technique is often confused with the S2KP, you should always double check what your knitting pattern calls for.

Step-by-Step Tutorial on How to Make an SK2P Double Decrease

Knit to where you want your double decrease to be.

Slip 1 stitch knitwise from the left-hand needle to the right-hand needle.

Insert your right-hand needle knitwise into the second stitch on your left-hand needle. Then insert it into the first stitch on the left-hand needle.

From front to back, wrap the working yarn under and then over the right-hand needle. Knit these two stitches together by pulling the working yarn through them and drop them from the left-hand needle.

Insert your left-hand needle into the front of the slipped stitch from left to right.

Pass the slipped stitch over the k2tog and off the needle.
