Brought to you by the creative design team at Love Crafts, the Sixtine Cardigan has that simple yet elegant look. It’s the kind of knitted piece that works for either an easy-going weekend stroll or a regular day at work.

The pattern is ideal for intermediate knitters who want to try raglans. Furthermore, it comes in 5 different sizes.

A finished cardigan has a chest size of approximately 31.5/33 inches, 34.5/36 inches, 37.5/39 inches,  41/43 inches, and 45.5/48 inches.

That’s 80/84 cm, 88/92 cm, 96/100 cm, 104/110 cm, and 116/122 cm respectively in the metric system.

To make this cardigan, you will need the Phildar Merinos 3,5 yarn, a DK-weight yarn made of 100% merino wool. Known for its smooth-finished fibers in shades inspired by the elegant colors of fall. Highly recommended for making easy-handling garments and accessories.

Moreover, you will need US sizes 2.5 and 4 single-point knitting needles. That’s 3 mm and  3.5 mm respectively if you prefer the metric system.

In working the pattern stitch, you will need to do a k2tog or knit 2 stitches together, which is a basic decrease technique that slants to the right.

If you like to learn how to make the k2tog, you can check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique that you’ll find helpful. You can find the tutorial here: Basic Right-Slanting Decrease (K2tog).

Additionally, you need to join the sleeves to the body once you’re done with them. We recommend that you use the Mattress Stitch for this, which is a technique used for joining two pieces of fabrics together.
