The Shetland Bead Lace Stich Pattern is a gorgeous lace pattern that lends itself especially well to shawls.
In fact, the way the yarnovers are distributed gives this lace pattern an almost 3D feel.
Unlike many other easy lace patterns, this stitch pattern does not have any rest rows. That means that you are working your lace pattern on every row.
As a matter of fact, it is this feature that gives this stitch pattern its depth. This despite the pattern just being knitted over 4 rows. Additionally, the stitch pattern is fairly easy to memorise.
Even though this is not technically a reversible pattern, the reverse side does have a very interesting pattern. As mentioned, this lace pattern will work really well in a shawl especially when knitted on a larger needle than the yarn calls for. However, it will also work well in other projects where you have two public sides.
