In some knitting stitch references, you will see this Seed Stitch Chevron stitch pattern mentioned as a Moss Stitch Chevron stitch pattern. In fact, it is the same stitch.
However, in American English, it is called a Seed Stitch Chevron. Conversely, in British English, it is referred to as a Moss Stitch Chevron.
Whatever you want to call this stitch pattern, it is a beautiful stitch pattern. And best of all, it is fully reversible so you can choose which side you prefer.
In fact, if you use the odd-numbered rows as the Right Side (RS), then the Seeded Chevron is outlined in purl.
On the other hand, if you use the even-numbered rows as the Right Side (RS), then the chevrons become separated.
So, you will end up with one seed stitch chevron and one purl stitch chevron, alternated with a knit-stitch background.
Since the pattern is fully reversible, it is perfect for projects where both sides of the fabric will be viewed, e.g. blankets, baby blankets, scarves, etc.
