Designed by the talented Joyce Fassbender, this knit kitchen cloth is fully reversible and is knitted from the bottom going up.

The cloth comes in a single size and once finished will measure approximately 8.5 inches square. That’s 21.5 cm if you prefer using metric units.

To make the dishcloth, you will need Knit Picks’ Dishie Yarn. It is a sturdy and absorbent worsted weight yarn made of 100% cotton. This yarn is simply perfect for making hand towels or dishcloths like this piece that we’re making.

You will also need a size US 7 straight or circular knitting needle. That’s a 4.5 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, you will be using the long tail cast on when working this piece. The Long tail cast on is probably the most popular of all cast on methods. It produces a firm yet elastic edge that is great for a variety of knitting projects.

We have an illustrated tutorial on this cast-on technique if you want to learn it. You can find the tutorial here: Learn How to Do A Long-Tail Cast On.

Once completed, you will have to weave in the yarn ends properly. We also have an illustrated tutorial that will show you how to do this. Check it here: Learn How to Weave in Yarn Ends.
