From Lion Brand Yarn designer Amy Bahrt, the Pot ‘O Gold Knit Afghan is a fantastic kids’ blanket. This piece features an attractive Surface Chain Stitch and motifs that you can work in intarsia colorwork.

As a matter of fact, the pattern is ideal for intermediate knitters to work on.

Moreover, the pattern is available in one size, which measures about 29 by 30 inches. That’s 73.5 by 76 inches if you prefer to use the metric system.

The original piece was created using the discontinued Modern Baby yarn. However, you can easily substitute it with any lightweight yarn spun from a blend of acrylic and nylon.
