Designed by the talented Nicky Epstein, this lovely cardigan is worked in three separate pieces, two sleeves, and body, then sewn together. It is available in 5 different sizes, small, medium, large, XL, and 2XL.

To make the cardigan, you’ll need Lion Brand’s Jeans yarn. It is a soft and squishy medium-weight yarn made of 100% acrylic. The yarn is simply perfect for making cool-weather garments and accessories. Best of all, it is machine washable and machine dryable.

You will also need a size US 8 circular knitting needle. That’s a 5 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, you will be utilizing the m1 increase when you start making this piece. The m1 or make 1 is an invisible increase that is frequently used after a rib. It can either slant to the right or the left.

We have fully illustrated tutorials for the right-leaning and left-leaning M1 if you want to learn how to do them. The tutorial for M1R or make 1 right is found here: How to Make 1 Right (M1R) in Knitting.

Additionally, the M1L or make 1 left is found here: How to Make 1 Left (M1L) in Knitting.
