Designed by Susanna IC, this beautiful neck warmer adds an extra layer of warmth to your cool-season outfit. It comes in a single size and measures approximately 8 inches in height and about 22 inches in circumference. That is roughly 20 cm in height and about 55 cm in circumference, if you prefer metric units.

Using Knit Picks Gloss Fingering Yarn, a lovely yarn made of 70% Merino wool and 30% silk, it is knitted using US6 double-pointed or circular knitting needles. That is 4 mm needles, if you are using the metric system.

Furthermore, even though the pattern is made for a fingering yarn, almost any yarn can be used to make this neck warmer. The piece would also look great when knitted on heavier weight yarns using larger sized needles.

The lovely lace rib pattern that looks like tiny strings of cables is actually just mock cables created by doing a basic slip stitch pattern, so a cable needle or cable knitting is not required to complete this project.

If you are not yet familiar with slipping stitches, we have a fully-illustrated tutorial on it that you may like. You can find this tutorial here: Slipping Stitches Knitwise or Purlwise.
