This free knitting pattern is ideal for Level 4 - Intermediate Level Knitters

Brought to you by the creatives at Yarnspirations design team, this mosaic blanket will be your darling’s naptime companion. The pattern includes a chart for the colorwork and is ideal for a knitter with intermediate skills to work on.

This blanket comes in a single size and measures approximately 40.5 inches square. That is 103 cm square if you are using the metric system.

To make this piece, you will need Bernat’s Baby Blanket and Baby Blanket Sparkle Yarn. A couple of magnificently soft, super-bulky weight yarn. They’re both made of 100% polyester, perfect for baby and kids’ projects.

You will also need a size US 11 circular knitting needle. That is an 8 mm needle if you are using the metric system.

Moreover, you will be slipping stitches, and doing k2tog knitting decreases when working on this project. To slip a stitch means you just pass the stitch from one needle to another without working it. You can learn how to do this here: Slipping Stitches Knitwise or Purlwise.

The k2tog or knitting two stitches together is a basic right-slanting decrease. We have an illustrated tutorial on this decrease technique if you want to learn it. Find it here: Learn How to Make a Basic Right Slanting Decrease (K2tog).
