Designed by Jodi Lewanda, this easy knitting pattern comes in two versions, one that is knitted in the flat and another that is knitted in the round. The in-the-round version is simply perfect for knitters who want to try out knitting in the round for the first time.

The legwarmer is available in 5 different sets of measurements. The sizes are for 4 to 12-year-old kids.

Using Red Heart’s Soft Baby Steps Yarn, the legwarmer’s in-the-round version is knitted using US6 and US7 double-pointed knitting needles and US6, US7 straight needles for the in-the-flat version. If you are using the metric system, that is 4 mm and 4.5 mm needles.

Containing 100% acrylic, this medium weight yarn is simply perfect for babies or kids’ delicate skin. It also makes long-lasting knitted items. Best of all, it is machine washable and machine dryable.

Furthermore, you will need to use kfb to increase your stitch count by one in this pattern. Kfb is the abbreviation for knit 1 into front and back of stitch.
