Another masterpiece from the Garn Studio Design Team, the Heavenly Habitat Knit Cardigan is your source of divine warmth.

As a matter of fact, it’s a fantastic holiday gift idea for family and friends.

Moreover, it’s available in six sizes, which measure about 23.5, 24.5, 25.25, 26, 26.75, and 27.5 inches in full length. That’s 60, 62, 64, 66, 68, and 70 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

To make this cardigan, you will need the DROPS Fabel Yarn, spun from an excellent wool and polyamide blend. It’s superwash-treated, making it conveniently machine-washable and easy to care for. It also comes from soft wool so it’s great for all-around use, especially if you’re making socks and baby garments.

Furthermore, you will need US size 11 circular knitting needles, 32 inches long. That’s 8 mm and 80 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

Making this cardigan will require you to make the Open Yarnover Increase (yo), a stand-alone increase and is vertical in appearance. Check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique here: Learn the Open Yarnover Increase.

Finally, you’ll also be slipping stitches as you go along. Slipping a stitch is essentially passing the stitch from one needle to another without working it.

If you like to discover more about slipping stitches, you can check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique. You can find it here: Slipping Stitches Knitwise or Purlwise.
