The Fleck Stitch Pattern is a super easy knit and purl pattern that is perfect for newbies to knitting.
In fact, it is also perfect for anyone wanting to practise combining knit and purl stitches on the same row.
Furthermore, it is a great pattern to knit when sitting in front of the TV or listening to your favorite audio book as you will have it memorised in no time.
Even though this is a really easy pattern to knit, the resulting fabric has a nice texture that looks more difficult than it is.
As a matter of fact, it is an excellent pattern to use for substituting plain stockinette in your knitting projects. Actually, it is very easy to use as a substitute as it is created over a multiple of 2+1 only. In addition, it is just knitted over 4 rows.
The reverse side of this stitch pattern is rather boring so it might not be the best pattern to choose for projects that have two public sides.
On the other hand, it is a great pattern to use for sweaters and hats. As a matter a fact, this simple knit and purl pattern will look particularly nice on baby garments.
So, if you want to be a bit brave and input some of your own design into a knitting project, why not try using the Fleck Stitch Pattern?
