The Crab Walk Stitch Pattern is a lovely little lace pattern.
Actually, it is a great pattern for novice lace knitters to try out. All you need to know to make this delightful lace pattern is how to knit k2tog and ssk.
In fact, it is the combination of these two basic decreases and yarnovers that creates this easy to learn lace pattern.
Furthermore, the pattern is knitted over just 4 rows. As a matter of fact, 2 of these 4 rows are resting rows where you just purl. So, all in all, it is a very simple pattern that you can easily memorise.
However, this is not a reversible pattern. Having said that, the reverse side does have interesting enough look.
This Crab Walk pattern lends itself well to a number of different knitting projects. You could for instance try it out on a pair of fingerless mitts.
In addition, it would work equally well in a summer top or a cowl. So, why not be a bit adventurous and try it out by replacing plain stockinette with this simple lace pattern?
