Another stylish creation by the very talented Lionbrand team, the Coastal Clutch is a knit pattern made with bulky weight yarn. The pattern is perfect for beginner knitters.

Moreover, this pattern is available in one size only. They measure about  8 x 14 x  5 1/2 x 8 inches. That’s about 20.5 x 35.5 x 14 x 20.5 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

To make this pattern you will need the Rewind Yarn. It is a gorgeous and luxuriously soft Chunky weight yarn made from 70% Polyester, and 30% Viscose fibers. It’s the perfect yarn for Garments, Accessories, and home projects.

Furthermore, you will need a US size 10.6 knitting needle. That’s about 6.5mm if you prefer to use the metric system.

You can use the simpler long-tail cast-on method instead of the provisional cast-on. The long-tail cast-on is probably the most popular of all the cast-on methods. It is suitable for many types of knitting projects.

We have an illustrated tutorial for the long-tail cast-on if you want to learn it. You can find this tutorial here: Learn How to Do A Long-Tail Cast on.

Finally, as you come to finish the pattern, you will have to bind off, which gives your fabric a smooth, attractive edge.

If you like to learn how to do a basic bind-off, you can check out our step-by-step tutorial for the Standard Bind-Off. It is the most common way to finish off your project. You can find the tutorial here: Learn How To Do A Basic Bind-Off.
