Brought to you by Jenny Williams from the Knit Picks design team. This Chevron Dishcloth & Dishtowel is worked in garter stitch chevron with three color contrasting stripes. These kitchen essentials bring a cool aura to your home and will keep your place clean.

In addition, this pattern is a great additional project for our intermediate knitters to work on.

Moreover, this pattern is available in only one size. The finished dishtowel measures about 10.75 by 16 inches. That’s approximately 27.31 by 40.64 cm if you prefer to use the metric system.

Plus, the finished dishcloth measures about 9.5 inches square. That’s about 24.13 cm if you prefer to use the metric unit.

To make this chevron set, you will need Dishie Yarn, It’s an excellent worsted weight yarn that is made from 100% cotton fibers that provide high absorbency to your project. This fiber also feels smooth, soft, and cottony when in use. This yarn is perfect for making multi-purpose home projects such as dishcloths.

Furthermore, you will need a circular knitting needle US size 7. That’s approximately 4.5 mm if you prefer to use the metric measurement.

You will be using the m1 knitting increase when you make this project. The m1 or make 1 is an invisible increase technique that can either lean to the right or to the left.

If you want to learn how to do the M1 increase, we have illustrated tutorials available for both right-leaning m1 and left-leaning m1.

Finally, you will also be making the Basic Left-Slanting Decrease or ssk, which is a common decrease technique that’s usually paired with k2tog. For a useful guide on making this decrease technique, check out our tutorial here: Basic Left-Slanting Decrease (SSK).
