In making this lively skirt, you will need DROPS Cotton Light Yarn, it’s an 8 ply DK worsted yarn. This beautiful yarn is breathable and gives good shape stability to any garment. It’s spun from an excellent combination of cotton and polyester, which gives softness and high durability. It’s perfect for making garments, blankets, and accessories.

You will also need two circular knitting needles US size 6 and 2.5. That’s approximately 4 and 3 mm respectively if you prefer to use the metric measurement.

Finally, you will be slipping stitches when working this pattern. To slip a stitch means to pass the stitch from one needle to another without working it.

If you like to learn how to do the sl or slip stitches, you can check out our fully illustrated tutorial for this technique here: Slipping Stitches Knitwise or Purlwise.
