This Belt Welt Stitch Pattern is super easy to knit. Therefore, it is perfect for beginners who would like to try out a more interesting texture, than just a garter stitch or stockinette pattern.
Conversely, the stitch pattern is also interesting enough for more experienced knitters to create, with enough character to convey a far more complex pattern.
Whereas this is not a reversible pattern, the reverse side is quite pretty as well. In fact, this is a great stitch pattern for projects that have both sides of the fabric exposed, e.g. scarves and baby blankets.
Likewise, this stitch pattern will look equally pleasing in a sweater or a hat.
In addition, the Belt Welt Stitch Pattern is perfect for garments that are worked sideways.
