This free knitting pattern is ideal for Level 1 - Beginner Knitters

Brought to you by the creative designers over at Lion Brand, these exceptionally snug wristers make for a great fall or winter knitting project.

It’s also highly recommended for knitters who want to try their hands on fingerless mittens for the first time.

In fact, you can work the pattern with a Garter stitch to create a simple rectangle. It’s then sewn into a tube, with an opening for the thumb.

Once finished, the wrister measures about 7 inches in circumference and 7 inches in length. It is, however, stretchy enough to fit a range of sizes. If you prefer to use the metric system, that’s approximately 18 cm for both the circumference and length.

To make these wristers, you will be needing Lion Brand’s Heartland Thick and Quick Yarn, which is the super bulky version of the Heartland Yarn. It’s delightfully soft and warm, and comes in gorgeous heathered shades, making it ideal for quick-finish projects like this one.

Moreover, you will need a US size 11 knitting needle. That’s 8 mm if you prefer to use the metric system.

Finally, as you finish the pattern, you will have to weave in the yarn ends. This will give your wristers a neat finish.
