From the creative design team over at Garn Studio comes the After the Blizzard Knit Set, which is worked in stockinette stitch with ribbed edges. It’s a soft and comfy sweater and hat that will keep you warm and toasty during the cold season.

Moreover, it comes in six sizes. The finished head circumference is 21.25/22 to 22.75/23.63 inches. That’s about 54/56 to 58/60 cm if you prefer to use the metric unit.

The finished length measures about 23.6 to 27.5 inches, and the finished chest measures about 36.25 to 56.5 inches. That’s approximately 60 to 70 cm for the length and 92 to 144 cm for the chest measurements if you use the metric system.

To work on this pattern, you will need DROPS Brush Alpaca Silk and Drops Fabel, which are delightfully soft and comfy for yarns that are great for pieces that touch the skin. It has a luxurious blend of brushed alpaca and mulberry silk, while the Fabel yarn is spun from wool.

Furthermore, you will need a size US 10.75 circular knitting needle and a size US 11 double-pointed needle for the hat. That’s about 7 mm and 8 mm needles if you prefer to use the metric system.

You will also need two US size 11 and 10 circular knitting needles for the sweater. That’s about 8 and 6 mm if you prefer to use the metric unit.

Finally, as you come to finish the pattern, you will have to do a bind off, which gives your fabric a smooth, attractive edge.
